POWER RESTORATION EFFORTS UNDERWAY FOLLOWING OUTAGE IN PARTS OF WESTVILLE
Teams from the City’s Energy Management Directorate are currently on site attending to a power outage affecting parts of Westville.
The outage was triggered by an explosion at a mini substation earlier today.
While the exact cause has not yet been confirmed, preliminary assessments indicate a possible 11kV termination failure.
The following areas are currently affected:
• Beverley Hills
• Dawncliffe
• Grayleigh
Restoration efforts are underway, with technical teams working diligently to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
The City appreciates the patience and understanding of residents during this time.
